Bearings are essential for the smooth movement of rotating or sliding components in all types of machines. These tiny workhouses transfer motion and transmit the force between components. At RWM, we offer a broad range of precision-manufactured bearings of all types. We offer solutions with capacities ranging from 300 pounds to more than 40,000 pounds and wheel sizes ranging from 3 inches to 14 inches. Whatever your needs, we have the custom solutions you require.

What Is the Purpose of Bearings?
Bearings reduce friction and facilitate smoother motion. They are vital for the safe, efficient performance of machines and devices, including machine tools, assembly lines, motor vehicles, casters, wheels, and more.
Types of Bearings
The following bearings are listed in order of ease of effort to begin and maintain rolling action:
Sealed Precision Ball Bearing Casters
- Manufactured using either standard or stainless steel
- Require no maintenance lubrication
- Designed to deliver near-silent operation
- Superior rolling ease when used for medium, heavy, radial, or thrust loads.
- Ideally suited for applications where the bearing is exposed to atmospheric conditions, such as rollers or automobiles
Annular Ball Bearing Casters
- Precision manufactured to provide full-length support across the wheel width
- Outside races are locked to the inside race by ball bearings and our unique encapsulated raceway
- Ideal for light to medium duty loads of up to 1,200 pounds per wheel
- Feature side thrust load rating approximately 20% of radial capacity
Flanged Ball Bearing Casters
- Flanged ball bearings offer an anti-friction design that eliminates the seizing of the bearings and the wheel
- Features shields, hardened bearing quality steel, and pre-greased ball bearings
- The load is transmitted from the outer race to the ball and from the ball to the inner race
- Only contacts the inner and outer race at a small point, which facilitates smoother spin
- Ideal for food processing, conveyor belts, material handling, and other light-duty applications
Caged Roller Bearing
- Feature a cage-type roller assembly and a drawn cup outer race
- High load ratings and high rigidity
- High radial capacity
- Ideal for high-performance automotive and marine applications
Roller Bearings
- Feature a cage-type roller assembly and a split outer race
- Rubber-sealed retaining washers are available for sealed wheels
- High radial capacity with minimal side thrust load rating
- Ideal for heavy machinery, aviation cargo systems, conveyor belts, medical equipment, petroleum refining
- Standard Grease: -20 degrees to 275 degrees F. High Temp Grease: -25 degrees to 900 degrees F.
Precision Tapered Roller Bearings
- Precision bearings are designed for the heaviest loads and high-speed operation
- Exceptional radial capacity
- Side thrust load rating of 60% to 90% of radial capacity
- Assembly consists of an outer race or cup with a tapered cone roller assembly
- Grease or dust seals can be incorporated into the design
- Two bearings are installed per wheel
- Can be used with both standard and high-temperature grease
- Ideal for machine tools and printing presses
- Standard Grease: -20 degrees to 275 degrees F. High Temp Grease: -25 degrees to 900 degrees F.
Delrin Bearings
- Extremely durable, can stand up to extreme temperature and humidity conditions
- Corrosion-resistant
- Light oil or grease lubrication is strongly recommended
- Can be used with both standard and high-temperature grease
- Ideal for gears and shafts, medical devices, conveyor chains, and automotive applications
Plastic Sleeve (Celcon) Bearings
- Effective chemical, corrosion, and fatigue resistance
- Low friction and minimal noise
- Light oil or grease lubrication is strongly recommended
- Available in both flanged or sleeve-type bearings
- Suitable for use in brine and frequent wash-down applications like food processing, pool, automotive and agriculture
Oilite Bearings
- Inexpensive and highly efficient brand of bearings
- Self-lubricating
- Ideal for electric motors, aviation carriers, and escalators/elevators
- Can ride on a spanner bushing or directly on the axle, depending on the application requirements.
Plain Bore
- Plain bore wheels are used light-load, low-speed applications
- Ideal for light or seldomly-moved loads
- Optimal for wheel suspensions and steering
- Ideal for both rotational and linear applications, commonly used to transfer equipment
