What is CFTMA Testing?
CFTMA testing is a proprietary durability evaluation developed by RWM to push heavy duty casters to their limits. This custom-built testing platform applies a continuous vertical load to a mounted caster while moving a metal table back and forth beneath the wheel. Each time the table shifts direction, the swivel caster indexes 180 degrees—simulating the constant directional changes that happen in the field. The test runs at a rate of 17 cycles per minute over an eight-hour period, or until the caster fails. By recreating these harsh conditions, we verify that every design meets our strict standards for strength, endurance, and reliability.
