While regular zinc-plated metal casters work in standard applications, they are vulnerable to corrosion from water, chemicals, and other hazards found in harsh environments. For these settings, you need stainless steel casters.
RWM Casters’ industrial-grade steel plate and stem casters dramatically increase corrosion resistance for rugged-duty and wash-down applications that cause zinc-plated steel to rust. Stainless steel is also heat-resistant, making it an appropriate material for high-temperature environments.

S45 Stainless Steel Casters
Our S45 series is comprised of medium-duty stainless steel casters with capacities up to 900 lbs. The 304 stainless steel used to manufacture these casters is electropolished to improve the long-term corrosion resistance of the material while also reducing microbial buildup.
The cold-forged top plate, yoke, and button improve the swivel action of these casters, and the sealed raceways make them low maintenance while prolonging their service life.
S45 stainless steel casters are available with side-actuated, tread-locking brakes for superior locking capabilities, when compared to conventional side wheel brakes. We also offer total locking versions, which prevent both the wheel and the swivel raceway from pivoting.
S65 Stainless Steel Casters
For medium- to heavy-duty stainless steel casters, look to our S65 series that come with capacities of up to 1,200 lbs. The casters in this series are well suited for frequent wash-downs and can withstand cleaning agents, steam, caustic solutions, and corrosive agents.
RWM Casters is proud to manufacture these industrial casters in the U.S., using high-quality 304 stainless steel to maximize their corrosion resistance.
Casters in the S65 series feature the patented Kingpinless™ single ball bearing, precision-machined raceway. This design provides greater load-bearing capacities, transforming the caster and wheel industry since RWM Casters first invented it in the 1970s. Since then, no others have improved upon our design, making us the original and most trustworthy source of Kingpinless casters.
S75 Stainless Steel Casters
Our most heavy-duty stainless steel casters are in the S75 series, offering capacities up to 2,500 lbs. It’s safe to use S75 series stainless steel casters in applications where frequent wash-downs are required, such as in messy food processing facilities and potentially hazardous medical settings.
The patented Kingpinless design is also found in this series to ensure
- Optimal strength
- Less wear and tear
- Smooth swiveling action
- High impact resistance
- A long service life
Quality 304 stainless steel and U.S.-based manufacturing allow you to put your complete trust in these heavy-duty casters.
Choose RWM Casters for Stainless Steel Casters
Whether you need medium-duty casters for your bakery racks or heavy-duty versions for the trolleys in your fishery, stainless steel is the right material for environments with water, cleaning chemicals, corrosive agents, and other conditions that would corrode standard zinc-plated metal casters.
RWM Casters promises to deliver the best value by offering products and materials that perform flawlessly in the applications for which they were intended.
